hello me.
this is like some soliloquy (if that's how you spell it). i'm talking to myself. :) but for those of you who come and read this, you get first-hand information on the outcome of the carwash! yay for you. :)
money-wise, we raised about $1200, which is way above expectations. our God sure is gracious! (this sum includes the sale of carwash tix, food, umbrellas etc.)
but of course more than the financial, there were also other invaluable things we gained.
-closer relationship with the BB boys
-learning how to wash cars :)
-seeing the whole church make a combined effort to each do their part, be it in cooking, or bringing a car to be washed
-God's plan for us never fails! though we were very much unprepared, the event ran without any major glitches.
many thanks to aunty heather, who graciously helped us coordinate the food, her team of cooks, david for helping in the carwash, and everyone who supported our cause!
well this is a very encouraging first fundraising event, so let's jiayou and continue going!
one last thing, are there 20 or 21 ppl on the team?

just a lil fund-raising update. on sunday, yesterday, the pathfinders sold tickets to our upcoming car wash. yay. thank God, we had really great response, so next week, we're on our way to washing cars! :)
any team member willing to help us out, by manning the ticket counter on the day itself, please contact me. we need all the help we can get. you wont get wet or dirty, just need to tear tickets and collect money.
please remember to pray for us, for good weather, and for the bb boys that are coming. we hope that through this event the pf will be able to build more rapport with the boys. also, pray that we'll always remember what the purpose of this is, all for God's glory, and none of our own.
yep that's all i think.

yeah jan! that was our lesson for the day. :) learnt a lot from training today, about how every single one of us is to be a "missionary", glorifying God and sharing his word all the time. also, in our sharings, we must make sure we make use of the "Jesus makes God known", because only through Jesus can God be known. "I am the way..."
and we had our first team dinner with yummy food. and we used our hands to eat. :) just a few of the many photos we took yesterday.
